Oldcrew Zero-Sum DKP

Oldcrew uses a zero-sum DKP system, but allows officers to override loot distribution when needed.  While a very basic and strateforward system, there are a few cavets that need to be pointed out.

Firstly, DKP is awarded not by boss kill, but by item purchase.  Tier pieces are worth more then Non-Tier pieces, and as such, fall into the "upgrade" rule.

The "upgrade" rule is alittle confusing.  Basically, what it means is that if you already have an item that you looted from a 25 man in that zone level, (T7 = Malygos, Naxx, OS) the cost of the item at that level is the difference between the real cost, and the cost of the non-set piece.  Example:  T7 Helm - 244.  Cowl - 204.   Upgrade cost:   244-204 = 40dkp your actually going to spend.  But remmber, its still the person with the highest dkp that gets the item.

Third, our ranking system also affects DKP usage. Priority for main spec loot is as follows:

Raider > Trial

Lastly, a Lifetime Attendance % of 80% must be maintained in an instance in order to retain the rank of Raider. Lifetime Attendance % is the accrued attendance % starting from your very first raid to the most recent guild raid, and everything in between. Accordingly, Raiders with below 80% Lifetime raid attendance for an instance will be treated as a 'Trial' in regards to loot. This means anyone that falls below 80% Lifetime Attendance cannot receive loot over Raider+'s regardless of DKP.

Standby dkp is awarded only if you whispered the DKP recorder at time of boss kill or are in group 6, 7, or 8.


How to Bid on An Item

Once an item drops that you would like, no matter your rank, you simply message the Master Looter, or person that is taking bids for that item your DKP # when he or she calls for it. However, Trial Raiders and below may not receive loot over Raiders+ no matter the point difference, but should still ALWAYS message the Master Looter when an item drops that he or she would like because you never know what will be available!

Bottom line: In 25 man raids, if its something you want, whisper your DKP #.  We only get dkp when other people buy it.
